Remote targeted assassination is the simple description for the jumping-off plot of this film. We quickly get introduced to the shocking and graphic nature of how this work gets done in the first 15 minutes. The assassin basically possesses the body of a candidate utilizing a tech-organic interface thing and uses that to compete the mission. It’s horrific on the face of it and more disturbing as the film takes off and goes down the rabbit hole of what is happening to the lead character (Andrea Riseborough) as she goes on another mission. It’s good graphic and disturbing horror. Reminded me a bit of the David Cronenberg film eXistenZ. It’s not for everyone and definitely does not pull any punches especially with that fucked up finale.
