A very lame movie “inspired” by the Plame/Libby-Cheney scandal. It changes the names and the actual events. It has characters and plot lines that go nowhere and the Kate Beckinsale character (Rachel Armstrong) spends the whole movie sitting in jail and “protecting her informant”. That is boring movie-making and in the end, when we do find out who the informant is, it makes Armstrong’s destructive decisions ridiculous. Why go through the trouble if your source is not really liable? I suppose I could be just mad at the character and unfairly criticizing the movie for it, but I did not like this flick. It makes me want to check out the Sean Penn film about the Plame/Libby story. Hopefully they did a better job.
