I like it. It’s a semi-autobiographical film about Spielberg’s childhood and adolescent days. We learn about his love of movies and we share in the ups and downs of his family life starting in New Jersey, then Phoenix then Northern California. It’s all fine. I usually love those “power of movies” movies. Some of the sequences (High school beach outing, the early films he made with his buddies,..) are genuinely amazing and pleasure to watch. Overall though I did not think this to be a hugely memorable or impressive film.
