Pusher 2 (Nicolas Winding Refn – 2004) A

Pusher 2 is all focus on Tonny (Mads Mikkelsen) who just got out of prison, finds out that he apparently has a baby with a prostitute and we meet his dad who runs a crime operation from his mechanic shop. So P2 is a wonderful sweet feel-good family installment in the trilogy. Of course not! Tonny is not particularly well habilitated by prison. He’s not terribly sharp or mature either. Do we really think he has a chance to change anything in his life for the better? No. It’s as grimy and rough as the first installment. Perhaps more so as events and relationships spin out of control in this small seedy corner of the Copenhagen underbelly.
