Captivating, and very well executed. It mixes re-enactment with footage and interviews to a great effect. I highly recommend you see this (like I did) knowing nothing about it if possible. It’s a film that really illustrates the concept of the unreliable narrator. The story is told in parts by said imposter. Knowing that though, how much can we believe of his tale? He is a pathological liar and manipulator but never the less fascinating. The main weakness of this documentary is the ho-hum final few minutes. It seems to latch on a very interesting twist but does not explore it as much as it could’ve.
