Antibodies is a very effective and twisted thriller. At the surface it introduces a villain and indeed a story line very similar to that of Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs (the captured killer even refers to Lecter at one point). However, slowly the movie veers into more of a study of the country cop, Michael, who is driven almost crazy by an old murder that he is not able to solve. Naturally the small town cop needs the jailed psychotic killer’s help. Again, sounds very familiar, but the performances are very good and the plot twists, turns until it reaches the shocking conclusion.
