Boy does this film want to be a FILM. It’s got the right look, feel and weird subject matter to be a “cerebral” and “thought-provoking”  character study. It even has the beautiful heroin with the sweet face but very repressed darkness in her. The problem is that Sleeping Beauty is just plain boring. There is nothing there that I could or would care aboYOuut.
