Three Colors: White (Krzysztof Kieslowski – 1994) B+

I remember White from the first time I saw it as a revenge comedy and it is describes as such when looking it up. Like all Kieslowski’s films, it really tricky to pin them down into a specific genre. On another viewing, while it has it’s quirky funny moments, this really is more of a love story. It’s crazy that Karol still loves Dominique after all the crap and shame she put him through. He literally had to flee Paris in a suitcase back to Warsaw. He never stopped loving her and it became his goal to win her back no matter what. I think he succeeded.
