I was a bit dismayed to find that this is not as good as I had remembered it to be. It must’ve been 89 or 90 when I saw it. Anywho, it’s not bad and it’s cool to see Christian Bale in his debut performance, a good one too. The first third or so is also pretty good but the film starts feeling a little like a farce when from that point on all the way to the ridiculous scene at the end with the sword and mango.
