For a movie that is all talking, lots of legal and technical mumbo jumbo this was very interesting. I really loved how the story of the inception of facebook gets filtered through 3 seperate perspectives. We get the story “proper” taking place in Harvard and Palto Alto about Mark Zuckerberg, his buddy/financier Eduardo Saverin and the Napster co-founder Sean Parker. We also get the hearings (or are they depositions?) in two lawsuits against Zuckerberg: one by Saverin and the other by the Winklevoss twins (they claimed Zuckerberg stole their idea) and their partner. Fincher and Sorkin make a tightly wound story that never bores and we get excellent performances from Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg. He really makes Zuckerberg a character who is brilliant, but also immature and just wanted to be “cool”. It’s almost a coincidence that he ended up with billions!
