This was a fantastic concert film. It works so well (other than the fact that I grew up listening to Michael Jackson…I even have Thriller on a vinyl record!) because it is just that, a concert movie. It is not a biography of Michael, it does not deal with his problems, issues and many eccentricities. What we get an artist very much in shape and ready for a huge last concert tour. We see him practice with his musicians, dancers and choreographers. He is in his element, overseeing dance moves and picking out wrong musical notes. He is courteous to everyone he is working with and seems happy to be there. We also get a preview of most of the major hits that were going to be performed on stage. That was going to be one hell of a concert…
