Very good early (or is it first) movie from Anderson. Not sure if the Paltrow character’s actions are a brilliant twist or so completely unexpected that they felt out of character. Maybe she is as dumb as she looked. Reilly does a very good job here but the cup goes to Hall as the seasoned gambler Sydney who harbors many a secret.
