The Thin Red Line (Terrence Malick – 1998) A-

I have heard so many negative comments about this movie, but they could apply to any of Malick’s films. It’s meanders, it is slow, seems purposeless…and so on. I say it is a wonderful, unconventional and almost lyrical WWII movie. It’s true art and does not cater to the lowest common denominator.
