Ravenous (Antonia Bird – 1999) B+

Very effective and sometimes pretty funny B-movie about cannibalism during the Mexican-American war. It’s atmospheric and engorssing and a whole lot of fun. This film also has one of those perfect music scores that I could imagine it without. The score echoes and clinks in a series of precussions at some places and meanders cheerfully in others. In either case it perfectly accentuates the action and setting. Also, Robert Carlyle delivers one creepy performance.
